DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION – SAK. EST.
Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.” – John 11:21-22
THEME: KEEPING HOPE ALIVE
WORDS OF HOPE:
Every man goes through a wilderness experience in his life time. This is when we face challenges and problems we do not have answers for. When you come to such a season in life, remember it is an opportunity to please God with faith and win His favour.
In verse 21, Martha`s human nature was at play as she quickly made Jesus aware that if he had been present, their brother would have been alive. She did not realize that geographical boundaries could not restrict the power of God – (Matthew 19:26). However, in the next verse (22), she kept hope alive by stating clearly that God would still give whatever Jesus asked for. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead in verse 43 with only three (3) words thus: “Lazarus, come out!”. The sisters kept hope alive and God did not disappoint. If Jesus could raise a dead man from the tomb with a shout of just 3 words, then He will deal with your challenges and you will smile at the storm. All you need is to keep hope alive.
• Pray and ask God to withstand all challenges that may come your way
• Pray to keep your focus on God
• Pray that every dead thing in your life will resurrect
Lord Jesus, thank you for your saving knowledge and your promises. Today I humbly request that your Holy Spirit will rekindle my faith and bring me to a level where my hope will be kept alive. I ask you to resurrect any dead area (prayer, quiet time, word study, etc.) in my life. I ask you to grant me grace to go through and triumph in any wilderness experience I am going through now.
