On Saturday, 27th April, 2013, Senior High School (SHS) students in JY on short notice were asked to stage an event they wanted done before school resumed. They surely came up with something that will forever be remembered “An evening of worship through creative arts”. The evening discovered a variety of ministrations – painting ministrations, song ministration, choreography and a display of pure keyboard skill and other talents.
Mr. Akwasi Appiagyei exhorted the participants on what individuals can do with their talents. He cited examples like Usher Raymond, Beyonce Knowles and Whitney Houston who all started by singing in church at very young ages but later slid into the world. He concluded his message by encouraging the youth to use their talents/gifts to glorify God but not for self-gain.
