TODAY’S VERSE:
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[a] you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

THEME: CRUCIFY THE FLESH
WORDS OF HOPE:
The Apostle Paul vividly states that we must “crucify the flesh” which has our sinful passions and desires. This is not a metaphor but about believing in Christ. Our spirits are united with Him in His death on the cross.Every day we must put to death “the acts of the flesh,” such as sexual immorality, hatred, jealousy. Such sins wage war on our souls and play havoc with our relationships. Crucifying the flesh is simply saying “NO” to the passions that besiege through torture just as crucifixion of Christ was. With God`s help, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can crucify the flesh and all accompanying unholy alliances.
PRAYER POINTS:
· Pray for grace to crucify the flesh.
· Pray for grace to overcome fleshly desires.
· Pray for God`s presence in your life.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord Jesus, let the Holy Spirit grant me grace to overcome fleshly desires and live for you. I humbly ask you to enable me focus on your death on the cross and believe in your saving grace. Amen! 🙏🏽
