Looking at his disciples, he said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh. Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. “Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets. “But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort. Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. THEME: Turning the world right SIDE 🆙
WORDS OF HOPE:
Do you remember when you first learned some nursery rhymes? In fact, many children can sing a few rhymes long before they understand half of what the words mean. It’s a great way for kids to start learning things, exercising their young brains with music and words and rhythm and rhyme. Now supposing you were in the crowd listening to Jesus telling you all kinds of things about God and his kingdom: ‘Blessings on the poor; blessings on the hungry; blessings on the weeping, blessings when they hate you. Woe betide the rich, woe betide the full, woe betide the laughing, woe betide the popular!’ But what does it all mean? Not everybody’s going to like it even if everybody understands it. People have muttered and murmured about what Jesus said and continue to say. Other have rejected it when their own lifestyle makes it uncomfortable for them to appreciate what He has been saying. Others have also rejected it because they have not sought to understand in spite of abundant knowledge around.
In all these, He has a simple message: God is turning the world the right way up, come and be freed. The invitation is to you and it is for free, it is a rhyme worth listening to and learning even if you do not understand, He who is calling you is more faithful, He has a plan for you, He knows why He is calling you, He knows what He will use you for, He will not disappoint you. Come.
PRAYER POINTS:
● Pray that God will use you to cause change wherever you find yourself.
● Pray that you will be focused in life.
● Pray to stay on course to the end.
PRAYER:
Lord, cause me to stay on track to the end in the name of Jesus. Amen🙏🏽
