DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION – SAK. EST.
FRI. 07.12.2018

TODAY’S VERSE:
The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. Psalm 23:1

THEME: THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD

WORDS OF HOPE:
A sheep is under the care of the shepherd and follows the shepherd. David who is the author of this Psalm was a shepherd and as such understands what it means to be a shepherd. David when he uses the metaphor of the Shepherd to describe God, talks not just about a designation or a name for the Lord, but the relationship between God and His covenant children. We realize right away that if the Lord is the shepherd, then David is referring to himself as a sheep. The Shepherd direct, provide and protect the Sheep. David is thus saying that the Lord is my everything. He added that, I lack nothing. Can you like David say that God the uncreated creator is my shepherd? David went through some challenges in life but still recognizes God as His shepherd. In John 10, Jesus who is our savior described Himself as the good shepherd. The sheep has confidence in the shepherd. Who is your shepherd? Do you rely on Him? Do you know that He cares about you? Ponder on these?

PRAYER POINTS:
· Pray for grace to completely rely on God as your Shepherd.
· Ask God to protect you at all times.
· Pray that you can confidently say like David that you shall lack nothing.

PRAYER:
May the Lord be your Shepherd and may you lack nothing in the name of Jesus. 🙏🏽
