DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION – SAK. EST.
TUES. 25.12.2018

TODAY’S VERSE:
In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David because he belonged to the house and line of David. Luke 2: 1-2, 4.

THEME: IN THE FULLNESS OF TIME

WORDS OF HOPE:
This passage narrates the fulfillment of the place of birth of the Messiah. It had been prophesied that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem but Joseph was living with Mary in Nazareth of Galilee at the time. How then would it happen that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem? This is where you see God at work regarding time. You will notice from the passage that, it is the decree by Quirinius for registration that led Joseph to travel with Mary to Bethlehem. The issue is, why would such a decree come at that time? The fact was that that was the fullness of time. The fullness of time had come so God had to work things out in order to fulfill His promises. So God was involved in working his purpose out, even using an emperor who did not recognize Him. Nothing happens by chance or by any human being’s engineering. It was God who moved Caesar to make the decree because the fullness of time had come. When the fullness of time comes for us, God will use whatever is possible to fulfill his purposes in our lives. Wait for the fullness of time and God will surprise you. We must trust God to fulfill his promise in the fullness of time.

PRAYER TOPICS:
• Pray that God will visit you in the fullness of time.
• Pray for grace to wait for God’s fullness of time.
• Pray for the grace not to run ahead of God.

PRAYER:

I prophesy in the name of Jesus that in the fullness of time, God will glorify Himself in your life. Amen! 🙏🏽
