Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17
THEME: THE OLD HAS GONE, THE NEW HAS COME
WORDS OF HOPE:
Today is the first day of a new year, ‘the old has gone, the new has come’. Whatever happened last year can only be a guide, but not to dictate how we live this year. That is what the bible says: to be in Christ evidently means that you have come into Christ from somewhere else. It requires tender and closer union with Christ from Whom all support must come. Because of this new union with Christ, every aspect of your life: thinking pattern, actions, conversations, even your type of friends must reflect the new union. The reason is simple: It is not possible to accept the Lord and remain the same. This position is affirmed by scripture: if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature. Similarly, how can you live in 2019 with the mentality of 2018? It will not work, time has changed. In union with Jesus Christ, it is time for something new: new beginning, new life, new hope, new strength and a new vision for a new year and a new relationship. Enjoy the new day in the Lord.
PRAYER POINTS:
· Pray and thank God for this new month in the new year.
· Ask God to assist you to live as a new creature.
· Ask that your new and irreversible life will draw others to the Lord.
PRAYER:
O Lord Jesus, keep me on your path, and lead me to live a new life. Prevent me from becoming careless about my faith in the name of Jesus. May newness take over every area of my life. Amen 🙏🏽
