DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Philippians 3:12
THEME: YOU HAVE NOT ARRIVED YET
WORDS OF HOPE:
In spite of all what Paul knew God has used him to do, he stopped and said: I am not there yet, I must press on. Life is a journey, you do not stop mid-way and congratulate yourself. Chuck Swindoll says it well, “God is seeking progress not perfection.” Do not stop to praise yourself or condemn yourself by the level of your progress. The Christian life is a life of growth towards maturity. Keep moving forward. The worst enemy of your Christian life is to conclude that you have “arrived” at where God wants you to be. Some think they have prayed enough, God has wrought great miracles through them, as such they can relax. It is dangerous, don’t get into such mode. We must measure ourselves by Christ. He wants us to be pure in our actions, in our conversations, in our thinking, in our attitudes, in our relationships. We must work towards becoming like Him. Just speak like Paul: I am not there yet, I will press on.
· Pray that the Lord will help you to grow.
· Pray that you will recognize that you have not arrived yet.
· Pray that you will surrender to the Lord’s leading.
I pray in the name of Jesus that you will recognize areas of your life that do not give glory to the Lord and work towards transformation in the name of Jesus. Amen 🙏🏽
