DAILY WORDS OF HOPE

TODAY’S VERSE:
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. James 1:12

THEME: PERSEVERANCE THROUGH TRIAL

WORDS OF HOPE:
To persevere means that despite all the difficulties, failure or opposition you are bent continuing your effort to do or achieve something. That is the ‘never say die’ attitude. It does not come easy. The Jews at the time were finding it difficult to trust God because of the various trials they were going through and God seems to be delaying to deliver them from trials. As a result, some have become doubters and double minded so James admonished them that a double minded person shall not receive anything from the Lord. The essence of perseverance is that there is a reward after going through trials and challenges. But note that the reward is for those who go through; while no one should pray for challenges in his life, attempt to persevere in the power and the love of God that He makes available, after all grace increases only in troubled times. Whatever your challenge is at this hour, be determined to persevere and testify to the grace of God the next hour.

PRAYER TOPICS:
· Pray for the spirit of perseverance.
· Pray to stand firm in trial.
· Pray to receive the rewards of perseverance.
