DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
TUES.29.01.2019

TODAY’S VERSE:
And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Job 1:8

THEME: MAKE GOD PROUD

WORDS OF HOPE:
As humans, there are people we are proud of and those we aren’t so proud of. It turns out God feels the same way too. In our first text for today, we see God testifying about his servant Job. (Now it’s one thing to be testified about by a human being and quite another to be testified about by God, who sees and knows all.) We see God literally boasting about Job. Man! He was so proud of him! Hebrews 11:16b also tells us that there are people God isn’t ashamed to be associated with and perhaps by implication those He is ashamed to be associated with. So the question is, ‘is God proud of us or ashamed of us?’ Whatever the answer may be, there is an opportunity for us to make God proud of us this year. How do we make God proud? By simply living to please Him. How do we live to please God? Hebrews 11:13-16 teaches us that the heroes of faith pleased God by being heavenly minded. Thus, we can have the record of Job and make God proud if we set our focus on things above rather than on things on earth.
Beloveds, decide to live in such a way that God will be proud of you this year!

PRAYER POINTS:
· God hates sin but has the remedy for sin. Pray that God will set you free from any lifestyle that makes Him ashamed of you.
· Pray that God will help you set your love and affection on things above so He can be proud of you.

PRAYER:
Lord, we pray in Jesus’ name that You will enable us to make You proud through every step of this year’s journey. Amen🙏🏽
