DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Proverbs 3:5-8
THEME: WALK WITH GOD; SEEK HIS COUNSEL
WORDS OF HOPE:
Walking with God in Scripture simply means how we conduct ourselves or our manner of life. King Solomon knew the importance of conducting oneself in a manner that is approved by God. The manner of life by Enoch and Elijah enabled them to be translated without seeing physical death. They pleased God in their walk with Him. In a new year, where new resolutions are made by many Christians, the top of the list should be how you would want to walk with God. Proverbs 3:5 instructs us to trust in the Lord with all our heart, and additionally never depend on our own understanding to life issues. It continues in verse 6 that, God will make our paths straight but we must submit to Him first. Do not be distracted by the challenges of this New Year, but have a total dependence on God by committing your ways and decisions to Him. He will direct your paths and make them straight.
· Pray for God to guide you in your New Year resolutions.
· Pray and ask God to help you seek His counsel every time.
· Pray for God`s protection over your life in the Christian journey.
Lord Jesus, it is a new year and I seek your favour and grace as we journey along. Grant us your strength and capabilities to surmount all challenges that lie ahead and give us peace of heart and everlasting joy.
