TODAY’S VERSE:
Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

THEME: INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
WORDS OF HOPE:
At the latter stages of the eulogy by former U.S President, George W. Bush to his deceased father George H.W. Bush, he could not contain his tears in an almost loud shriek as he remembered how intimate he had been with his late father. Intimacy mostly exists between spouses, parents and children, friends, work colleagues, etc. Intimacy is simply close familiarity or friendship. One great biblical account was what existed between David and Jonathan. The Lord Jesus Christ had intimate relationship with His Father and so He enjoyed every blessing and received all He asked for from Him during His Ministry on earth. Many Christians make lots of demand as a result of insatiable wants from God but fail to develop an intimate relationship with Him. Remember that when you consistently communicate with God in prayer and study of His word, you solidify your relationship with Him and He grants your heart requests. The good news is that when your vertical relationship with God is good, your horizontal relationship with man will be better.
PRAYER POINTS:
· Pray for grace to develop intimate relationship with God.
· Pray for the anointing to study His word and consistently pray.
· Seek the Holy Spirit to lead you in your journey with God.
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, I ask you to help me develop intimate relationship with you. Grant me your grace never to ruin our relationship but have total dependence on you and your providence.
