Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:8-9
THEME: LET GOD`S WORD ABIDE IN YOU
WORDS OF HOPE:
When Jesus finished His 40 day and night fasting, he was immediately tempted by the devil according to Matthew chapter 4. The devil always used scripture to support his diabolical schemes but Jesus knew better in scripture to counter those temptations.
Christians should be children of the Word every single time of their Christian journey. In Joshua1:8, the Lord showed us the secret to prosperity and success, and that is by meditating on His word day and night and acting in accordance with His instructions. David was quick to add in Psalm 119:11 that, the only way to stay away from sin is to keep the Word in the heart.
The Word of God shows you light and guides you on our journey. It brings you good tidings.
PRAYER POINTS:
· Pray for the Word of God to abide in you.
· Pray for the Holy Spirit`s directions on how to meditate on God`s Word.
· Seek God`s blessings over your life today.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord Jesus, I ask for favour to accomplish my assignments this day. I seek the Holy Spirit`s directions in meditating on your Word at quiet time and morning devotion in Jesus name.
