DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.” Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath[a] enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”
THEME: CAN THESE BONES LIVE?
WORDS OF HOPE:
God showed Prophet Ezekiel a frightening vision; and asked him a question: “can these bones live?” I am positive that Jesus the son of God knew this passage before He began ministry. But unlike Ezekiel, Jesus knew that He alone had to restore life by putting death to death. So He triumphantly headed to Jerusalem.
God`s question highlights the essence of Lent: walking with Jesus and following Him as He dies and rises from the grave, so that our bones can come to new life. Our response to God`s question reveals whether we will spend today living for God or lying about like dead bones.
· Pray for the grace to live holy for God.
· Pray for the grace to make a firm decision today on your salvation.
· Pray for favour with God and man.
Dear Lord Jesus I need you in my life more than ever before. I ask you to help me embrace your death on the cross to save me from my sins and grant me a new life.
