THEME: THE HOLY SPIRIT, MY SOURCE OF STRENGTH
WORDS OF HOPE:
The Holy Spirit gives us capacity both within and without by strengthening us spiritually and physically. The Holy Spirit takes away our timidity and fills us with boldness to preach to the multitude like He did with Peter on the day of Pentecost.
A significant manifestation of the strength in the Bible is the life of the Judge of Israel named Samson. Bible accounts that, when the Holy Spirit comes upon him, he receives strength to do things beyond normal human strength. Judges 14:16 indicates “And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he tore the lion apart as one would have torn apart a young goat, though he had nothing in his hand…”
Anytime the Spirit of the Lord came upon Samson, he received tremendous mighty power from above – GOD (Judges 14:6,19; 15:14). Paul prayed for the Ephesians that they will be strengthened by the Holy Spirit in the inner man so that Christ will be formed in them through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). It is not enough to have physical strength; we need the Holy Spirit to strengthen us to live a Christ-centered life on a daily basis. Are you struggling in your walk of faith, walking and living in the Spirit? Call on the Lord to fill and strengthen you with the Holy Spirit to
do what you are unable to do.
Be strengthened by the Holy Spirit.
PRAYER TOPICS:
• Thank God for divine strength in the inner man
• Ask God to fill and strengthen you with His Spirit to daily have heavenly consciousness
• Ask God to give you strength over every weakness
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Spirit. I pray that You will fill and strengthen me by your Spirit to overcome every weakness and also live to glorify You in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen
