DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
THURS. 01.04.2021
TODAY’S VERSE: LUKE 22:1-6
THEME: RIGHT ASSOCIATIONS
WORDS OF HOPE:
The Jewish religious leaders had longed for an opportunity to arrest Jesus but were afraid of the reaction of the crowd who were mostly around Jesus. They knew taking such an action in the public space could start a riot. They were then looking for an opportunity in which they could carry their intentions privately. Here comes Judas Iscariot who agrees to help them achieve their aim. Isn’t it a bit surprising to find religious leaders having such evil intentions against the Redeemer?
No mean a person than Judas Iscariot; a disciple of Jesus Christ helped them to achieve their aim. Judas allowed himself for Satan to use him.
As Christians, we should watch out for people parading themselves as religious but not seeking the interest of Christ. Never associate with such people. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Judas’ association with them helped in the fulfillment of their aim.
Again, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit so do not permit the influence of Satan in you. Be filled with the Holy Spirit always and Satan will not have any vacant space to occupy in you. The Holy Spirit will lead you to the right association.
PRAYER TOPICS:
• Thank God for the gift of the Holy Spirit
• Pray for the grace to discern false religious people.
• Pray that the Holy Spirit should lead you to the right associations.
PRAYER:
I receive the grace to always associate myself with the right people in Jesus’ name. Amen
