THEME: THE SAME SPIRIT LIVES IN YOU
WORDS OF HOPE:
We read in verse 11 of today’s text that “The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.” This should remind you of your real identity in Christ. You are no longer under the power of sin because God has given you His life-giving Spirit. Do not let sin control your mind. Rather, let the Holy Spirit take control of your mind and think
about what pleases the Lord. Because you belong to Christ, you are not condemned. “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus”. (Romans 8:1)
For this reason, remember to give your body wholly to God. Set your mind on what the Spirit desires and not what the flesh desires. The lifegiving Spirit who lives in you will give life to your mortal bodies so that you will not yield to sin. Keep your hope in the Lord always.
PRAYER TOPICS:
• Thank God for His Resurrection Spirit at work in you.
• Pray that every good thing that is dead in you will receive life again.
• Pray for the grace to live in accordance with the Spirit.
PRAYER:
Thank you, Father, for the assurance that same resurrection power lives and is at work in me. Amen
