DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
TODAY’S VERSE: PSALMS 27:1-3
THEME: VICTORY OVER FEAR; SPEAK YOUR FAITH
WORDS OF HOPE:
Fear is a tormentor and it dwarfs progress. But thanks be to God, He showed us and gave us what it takes to overcome fear.
The Psalmist in this Psalm speaks faith against his fear. The fear of men, because of the position they hold and/or the authority or influence they command, cause many Christians to cower in life; but not the Psalmist. He speaks faith by boasting in the LORD as his light and salvation. He also affirms the LORD as the strength of his life. Beloved, let no fear of man and circumstance throw you off guard. Affirm your position and heritage in the LORD. He is your light. No amount of darkness can suppress or dim you. The LORD is your salvation; this is different from the LORD will bring you salvation. He Himself is your salvation, meaning no one can put you down. Hallelujah! The LORD is also your strength, not He will give you strength. God is your strength. For some people, money is their strength, human connections are their strength. But for us who confess the Lordship of Jesus, He is our very strength. You cannot be disadvantaged, dear one.
In 2 Timothy 1:7, Paul teaches that of all the things we freely received of God, fear was never part of the package. We rather received love, power and a sound mind. Affirm your position that you do not have fear in your heart but love, power and a sound mind.
You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and you are as bold as a lion [Proverbs 28:1b]. You are not programmed to run away in fear in life. Lions are not frightened by the noise and shouts of the crowd [Isaiah 31:4]
and this is who you are; let nothing shake you up; do not be a slave to fear.
• Thank God for freeing you from fear and programming boldness into your spirit.
• Declare that God is your light; strength and salvation in all things and at all times.
Father, thank you that all things are subject to me. I reject fear from my life and embrace your love, power and a sound mind in Jesus’ name. Amen
