DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
TODAY’S VERSE: 1 CORINTHIANS 15:55-56
THEME: VICTORY OVER DEATH
WORDS OF HOPE:
Death is an enemy, and it is one of the greatest enemies that passed over all men when sin was introduced into humanity by Adam.
Death is separation. When Adam and Eve sinned, they died. They got separated from God on account of their sin. Man became God’s enemy as a result of this separation. Salvation through Christ Jesus is the only remedy to this death. We have now been reconciled to God and have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ [Romans 5:1]. This is why we must tell the whole world about God’s love in Christ so they can be reconciled to God as well. We must tell the world, God has pardoned the sin of all men and He is not holding any man’s sin against them [2
The body without the spirit is dead and this is what causes so much pain and fear to many. Jesus’ death and resurrection from the dead has equally given us victory over death. Stop being afraid of death; Jesus overcame death for us. He has the key authority over death. Death is expressed in several ways such as sicknesses, poverty, pain etc. Jesus by His triumph over death in the resurrection has won the victory over death for us. Poverty has no authority over you. Sicknesses also have been overcome. O what a life we have been called to!
Speak life to your circumstances and do not allow death and its effects any chance in any area of your life.
• Thank God for the gift of life and praise Him for giving you victory over death.
• Declare that death and its effects – fear, poverty, sicknesses, pain etc are banished from all of your life in Jesus’ name.
Indeed, death could not hold you captive. You have silenced the boast of sin and the grave forever. We walk in this victory always in Jesus’ name. Amen
