WORDS OF HOPE:
Do you recall as a child, when your dad promised to buy you something special on his return from his travels? You’ll see him off in style and when the time is due for his return you wait in an expectant mood.
In the Old Testament, God lived among His people by manifesting Himself as the Father and working in the lives of the patriarchs, judges and prophets and at other times sending His angels to lead and guide His people. God showed love to the world Jesus Christ’s birth, death and resurrection. Jesus` ministry was about propagating the gospel of the Kingdom of God. Those who followed Him were blessed by His teachings and the wondrous things He did. As His earthly ministry drew closer to an end, He informed the disciples about His departure and how the Holy Spirit will come and continue His work. Like the disciples, we (believers) are assured of the continuous presence of the Holy Spirit with us.
Beloved, the Holy Spirit (our Helper) is with us, and we need to daily have fellowship with Him to guide, teach, testify and help us with every form of weakness.
Like He came upon the believers on the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit helps us in our walk with God. Depend on Him and let Him guide your life.
PRAYER TOPICS:
• Thank God for His faithfulness and giving us His Promised Holy Spirit
• Pray for the knowledge and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit in your life as a believer
• Ask the Holy Spirit to help you in your weakest areas to build strength and capacity.
PRAYER:
Thank you, Father, for remaining faithful to us by sending and empowering us with your Holy Spirit. We pray that we will continue to serve you and trust in your promise to help us always. Amen
