TODAY’S VERSE: ISAIAH 61:1-5
THEME: THE HOLY SPIRIT OUR PARTNER IN MINISTRY
WORDS OF HOPE:
Our topic today brings the term ‘business partners’ into mind. A business partner is one that you have some form of agreement with to work together to produce something. Isn’t it amazing that the Holy Spirit considers us as His business partners? His business is that all will come to the saving knowledge of Christ. (I Timothy 2:4). His business is that the broken-hearted will be mended, those who are all overwhelmed with the spirit of heaviness shall receive joy, that the sick shall recover (Isaiah 61:1-5).
But He will need a partner to work with. The Bible records a large number of people who became partners with the Holy Spirit in order for His will to be accomplished on the earth. Mary the mother of Jesus availed herself to be a ministry partner with the Holy Spirit so that the Saviour of the world (Jesus Christ) would be born. Moses became a
partner so that the Israelites will be delivered from bondage and slavery. Even the donkey became a ministry partner so that Baalam could know the voice of God.
What is your excuse? The only thing that will hinder us from becoming partners with the Holy Spirit is ‘self’. Our fleshy desires can be a barrier to being vessels of use for His glory.
▪️ God wants to heal the sick through your hands.
▪️ God wants to speak to someone through your voice.
▪️ God wants to encourage someone through your smile.
▪️ God wants your neighbour to have supper through your giving.
▪️ Be a willing partner!
PRAYER TOPICS:
• Thank God for his word today.
• Pray for the rededication of your life to Him for His use.
• Pray for the strength and the grace to do what He asks you to do even when it goes against your desires and personal ambitions.
PRAYER:
Father may I be a vessel for your use. Amen
