TOPIC: KEEP ON DOING THE WORK OF LORD
WORDS OF HOPE:
In verse 4 of today’s scripture reading, Jesus said, “As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.” As we prepare for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, we must understand the urgency of time. We do not have all time to ourselves. The unfortunate part of Jesus’ coming is that the hour is unknown. What you have planned to do, do it now. No more procrastination. No more excuses. Always remember that “time and tide wait for no man.” As stewards, Jesus has entrusted to us the ministry of reconciliation as seen in 2 Corinthians 5:18-20. “…As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you” (John 20:21).
How are you handling the Great Commission Jesus gave to us? As we prepare for the Lord’s coming, we shouldn’t forget the assignment of making all His disciples. Preach the salvation message to the dying soul, correct the erring one, disciple that new believer, shepherd the flock of Jesus. By so doing, you will be doing the work of the master.
PRAYER TOPICS:
• Thank God for an opportunity to be a labourer in his vineyard.
• Pray for the grace to bring erring ones to the saving grace of God.
• Pray for the grace to be faithful in whatever the LORD has entrusted you with.
PRAYER:
Grant unto us the grace to execute the work you have entrusted to us as good and faithful servants. Amen
