The Children’s Service Department of the Hope Congregation of the PCG on Sunday, December 15, 2019 held a festival of Nine Lessons and Carols Service ahead of Christmas. The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is a service of Christian worship celebrating the birth of Jesus that is traditionally followed by Christmas. The scintillating event saw Children in the various age group singing their favourite carols. The event was graced by the Church Choir who also entertain the younger ones with Christmas rendition.
In an exaltation, Mr Emmanuel Darko, spoke about the significance of Christmas and indicated that the celebration signified the promise of the birth of the “Messiah”, who is Jesus Christ. In a related development, the Royals of Hope led the adult congregation to usher in the yuletide in a programme dubbed Hope Praise. They were supported by the Church Choir, Singing Band and the JY Choir in the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and choral music.
