HOPE Congregation Honours two of its members

The leadership of the HOPE Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Sakumono-Estates has honoured two of its members for their contributions towards the development of the church in the year 2014.

10352322_834491559942227_6919955775936782368_nThe awardees, Mr Isaac Amoako Agyei aka “Kofi Smart” and Madam Sheila Fianko were presented with an undisclosed sum, a bible  and a Ministerial handshake during the Second Service on first Sunday of the year, January 4, 2015, which was also marked as Covenant Sunday or Kente Sunday.

The Senior Presbyter of the Church, Mr Alfred Kwesi Opoku who announced the winners on behalf of Session commended the two awardees for rendering immense services to the HOPE Congregation. The Senior Presbyter lauded Mr Agyei’s dedication to duty and indefatigable spirit towards all activities in the church.

For Madam Fianko, an usher, she was appreciated for her commitment and dedication towards the development of the Church. According to the Senior Presbyter, Madam Fianko on Communion Sundays would come to church as early as 5: 30pm to prepare the Sacristy before the service commences and after every service would stay behind and assist in counting the offertory before leaving.

He said the leadership of the church appreciates roles being played by the two individuals hence the recognition by the church with the hope that it would spur others on to do more.10427255_834491606608889_3858180677882907274_n
