Hope Congregation starts 2020 with Covenant Service

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Hope Congregation, Sakumono Estates on Sunday 5th January, 2020 observed Covenant Sunday to commence the year.

Covenant Sunday often celebrated on the first Sunday of the year. The heart of the service, focused in the Covenant Prayer, requires persons to commit themselves to God.

The service also witnessed congregants turning out in Kente and other traditional attire to celebrate their Ghanaian status and to say thank you to God for carrying them through the previous year successfully and ushering them into a new year.

Rev. Emmanuel Obeng Ntow, the Resident Minister preaching in the theme: “God’s blessings” said God’s assurance that He would supply the needs of believers was linked to a warning, emphasising that the blessings are promised upon condition that those who diligently obey the voice of God receive God’s eternal blessings stored for them.

Rev.Ntow who is also the Sakumono District Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, assured Christians that they will experience a unique peace and joy in the daily moments of our lives, even while surrounded by trials and sufferings, and in the end, we receive God’s eternal blessings stored for them.
