Dr. Sule-Saa on behalf of the district minister. The games commenced with volleyball and table tennis. For Volley Ball, the HOPE team lost 2:1 to Anointed One Congregation in the preliminary stages taking us out of the tournament. Men’s Fellowship lost 4:2 to Parousia in the final shootouts with Bro. Percy Ansah taking the last shot. Women’s Fellowship also lost their first shootout. On a brighter note, the Youth team however (consisting mainly of YPG and one or two JY members) beat Anointed One two goals to nil in the first match, beat Parousia 5:4 on penalty shootouts and won the tournament by beating Most Holy in the final, 4:3 on penalties. Other games like table tennis, scrabble and cards were undertaken. There was also an apple eating contest for the JY.

Presbyters from the various locals, came together to sing praises as a joint group of Presbyters. Agents also came to bless us with a hymn. The Singing Band and Choir also individually blessed us with good ministrations. Singing groups from all the locals were called upon and even some groups volunteered to sing since it was an open mic event.

It was an interesting and eventful day and we can’t wait for the next picnic!!!!
