It is said that, “In unity we stand, divided we fall” Similarly, the Presbyterian Church motto says “That they all may be one”. God (the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit) is the perfect example of unity we confess as a Church. Unity is togetherness or perfect oneness.
Unity is linked with five main elements – Humility; Gentleness; Patience; Love and Peace.
Christ is the church and the church is the body. Christian unity has to do with one in body working in perfect harmony. One same mind, one fellowship and one concern.
As Christians, we need to promote unity. We need to pray, put on Christ, strive for unity and above all promote peace Unity is contagious and spread among us and the community.
This week, may we all become apostles of unity and peace. Amen.
