Passage: Matthew 24: 36 - 39; Revelation 22: 12 - 13
Service Type:

Beloved in the Lord, 2000 years ago, Jesus announced, "I am coming soon.” But His definition of "soon" seems to be a whole lot different from ours. From our perspective, Jesus has delayed in His coming. But from God's perspective, Jesus has not delayed His coming at all, but it is to give everyone a chance to repent.

2 Peter 3: 8 state, "But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord, a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day."

Per this biblical calculation, it has only been "two days" since Jesus made that promise, but to us, is 2000 years. Even so, l believes Jesus is coming very shortly. And when He does, He will come suddenly. He will come in a flash, with no forewarning whatsoever. For when Jesus said, " l am coming soon,"

He not only meant shortly, but suddenly as well. The Bible says, it will happen "in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye"(1 Cor. 15: 52).

It is good that we do not know the exact time when Christ will return. Had we known the precise day or time, we might have been complacent in our work for Christ. And then we might decide to keep living the way we wanted and keep sinning and then turn to God right at the last hour.

But make no mistake about it, Jesus Christ will come back again very soon, and God has given us specific instructions for what we are to do while we wait. With all the troubles in the world, we are being reminded that Jesus is coming back very soon.

Whether we are ready or not, Jesus is coming, and we will all give an account of how we lived our lives. No one will escape because God is the righteous judge. And nobody is getting into Heaven without Jesus. Where do you stand?

Are you under God's wrath because you have not accepted His free gift of salvation through Jesus, or are you under God's grace because you have accepted it?

Can you truly say that you are ready for Jesus' return? If you have accepted Jesus as Saviour, your sins have been forgiven and forgotten, and you can look forward with confidence to that glorious day when Jesus will appear in the heavens.

Make sure in these last days that Jesus is also Lord of every area of your life, so that when He comes, He will find you ready. Remember that when He returns, there will be no time to scramble back to the work He has called us to do, and the life He expect us to live. Beware that, we would not be able to deceive Him, because His coming will be sudden. He is coming quickly,

He is coming without delay!

God is wooing and pursuing sinners all the time, inviting them to come spend eternity with Him. Please, do not put it off any longer. Just say, "Yes!" to the Lord today.

Come to Jesus, and let Him clean up your life. Please, do it today before it is eternally too late, because Jesus is coming very soon!

Jesus is coming very soon, so keep His Word, proclaim it, practice it, and preserve it until He comes. Do not change God's Word in any way. Do not add to it or take anything away from it. Then you will be ready when He comes.

Tell me, if Jesus were to return unannounced today, would He find you ready for Him? Right now, sinners and the saints are mixed up together, but when Jesus comes, there will be a separation. All we need to do always is to come to Him and ask Him to clean us up. He will then make all wrongs right, and heal all pain.

It is not your duty or important to search for the particular time that Jesus is coming, but what is more important and your duty is to remain always prepared for His coming at any time. Are you ready? Whether you are ready or not, one thing is certain, Jesus Christ ls Coming Back Very Soon! Stay blessed and in readiness!!
