Passage: 2Kings 5: 1-14; 1Cor. 9: 24-27; Mark 1: 40-45

Naaman was a great man but he was a leper. Lepers were considered outcasts. As a result of the disease, they lost all sense of feeling in their limbs. Spiritual leprosy makes us insensitive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and prone to sin. We sin progressively and don't even recognize it, to the extent that we become numb until we are completely destroyed.

Proverbs 23:33-35 describes this in relation to a drunk man. Jesus invites us to his liberating love which cleanses us. He only requires that we believe in Him. Ephesians 1:20-21 illustrates the great power that is available to us when we believe. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 shows us how discipline can help us to leave a life free from leprosy.

If you are a spiritual leper, come into Jesus' warm embrace and make a conscious effort to live a life free from spiritual leprosy.
