Passage: Romans 13: 8-14
Service Type:

Love one another is the basic principle of the Christian life. “Agape love” - is an unconditional, self -giving, self-sacrificing love that desires only the welfare of others. This is the God kind of love which He demonstrates to us.

But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: "while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8 NIV).

What does the text teach us?
Love is compulsory for all believers and is a debt which can never be discharged. He who loves another fulfils the law. Love is a moral conduct in the light of Christ’s return. As Christians, we must awake out of sleep and put on the Lord Jesus Christ.

What is the outcome of love?
In showing love, we demonstrate that we are true disciples of God. As indicated in John 13:34-35, “By this, all will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another.” Secondly, we are able to draw people to Christ. We also put to death the flesh and put on Jesus Christ and are able to live in peace and unity with one another.
