God is never in a hurry, but He is always on time. He has perfect timing: never early, never late. Many times, when God appears to be the most silent, He is most often at work. Trust the Lord (Isaiah 60: 22b).
In our walk as believers, sometimes it may seem that God is silent in our difficult situations, but God is never silent. What looks like silence and inactivity in such situations to us, is rather God allowing us the opportunity to listen to Him through "The still small voice," and to see the provisions that He has made for us by faith.
God is involved in every area of a believer's life. He has said that the very hairs on our heads are numbered ( Matt. 10: 30; Luke. 12: 7). However, there are times when we have to walk in obedience to the light that God has given us before He sheds more light on our path, because in this age of Grace, God speaks to us through His Word.
Therefore, when God seems silent to us as believers, it may mean that we have stopped listening to His voice, we have allowed the cares of this world to plug our spiritual ears, or we have neglected His Word.
God does speak to us today through His Word, and in His Word, we have the words of hope. No matter what is going on in your life, you can trust that He is in control, and working everything out for your good.
When you wake up in the morning and wonder how you will face the day, God is working it out. When you wonder how you can get through and overcome this difficult time, God is working it out. And when you lay down at night, wondering how you will face the challenges of tomorrow, whatever they may be, God is already working it out.
As you think about your own circumstances, you may feel completely discouraged. The reality of what you are facing can seem so overwhelming that you might feel like giving up. But do not give up!
The circumstances may be too difficult in human terms, but in Christ, there is always hope (Jer. 29:11). In Psalm 23, David said, "Even though l walk....? What comfort can you find in knowing that God will protect and guide you during this difficult time?
The seasoned Christian know that some of the biggest moves God has made in their life have come after a period of spiritual dryness; when you are at your lowest point, when all seems lost and all hope seems to be gone, have hope in God, because things can only get better from thereon. Therefore, stay very close to God and watch for His power to be displayed.
Facing tragedy, or life storm of any kind, can be extremely difficult, you may be thinking, l do not know how l could ever get through this storm. Or you may be battling powerful feelings of despair, suffering, confusion, fear, worry, and anger. But in the midst of these troubles and pain, you can find the hope and courage to go on.
With God's help through the encouragement found in His Word, you will receive the necessary strength to overcome. But as difficult as this life storm maybe, you are not alone.
God is with you always. He loves you, and cares about what is going on in your life. He hears your cries and see your pain, moreover, He understands. If you have ever been affected by a tragedy, you may feel as if you have been abandoned by God. You may feel as if your whole world has been turned upside down and wonder how you can possibly survive the loss.
In times like these, you can feel very much alone. But you are not alone. In the midst of unspeakable sorrow, God is with you. Even if you do not feel Him near, God is there.
He promises to never leave you alone. Therefore, wherever you are, God is. He is with you before, during, and after the storm, never losing sight of you, or your suffering. He is a present help in times of trouble.
Because God is with you always, He knows that you are hurting. He sees your pain, and hears the cries of your heart. You are not alone in your suffering. He is there for you.
God cares very deeply about you, and is attentive to every detail of your life- even those things that burden your heart.
It is good to know that you have a direct line to God, and that He is available to talk to you anytime, day or night.
Prayer moves God and when He moves in your life, you will feel His presence, experience His peace, and draw from His strength in ways you never thought possible.
God will never be silent on you! He was the God who was not silent in Joseph's situation. He was the God who was not silent in the Israelites' situation in Egypt. He was the God who was not silent in Hannah's situation.
He was the God who was not silent in Mordecai's situation. He was the God who was not silent in Job's situation. He was the God who was not silent in Daniel and his three friends' situation.
He was the God who was not silent when the furious storm came up against the disciples in the boat on the sea. He was the God who was not silent in Lazarus' situation. He was the God who was not silent in Peter's imprisonment situation. So, how would God be silent in your situation now? Have faith, He will show up.
