In Galatians 5: 22 – 23, the Bible talks about the “Fruit” of the Holy Spirit not “Fruits”. This scripture sums us the attributes of a self controlled Christian. We must endeavor to control our selves at all times by controlling each part of our body in whatever situation we find ourselves, for example what we feed our eyes with, what we say with our mouths, where we go with our legs, and even our most private body parts are human beings, by so doing we gradually exercise self control of our entire body. The scriptures found in John 15 : 5 – 8 and in Titus 2 all teach us how to develop self control of our bodies and how to teach others to be self controlled as we are. Let us remember that we are under the authority of Christ and God is entreating us to bear good “fruit”.
