Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord
October 1, 2019
Passage: Exodus 14: 1-14
Service Type:

Have you ever felt like your back was against a wall? with nowhere to turn?

In living the Christian life there are many challenges that come our way and sometimes we feel as if we are consumed, we are at a dead-end, there is no way out, but our loving God who assures us that He will never leave us nor forsake us suddenly makes away ..... and He gives us a great testimony, Hallelujah!!!

This is what the Israelites experienced and it shall be your testimony in this month October. Beloved, don’t give up!

Lesson 1
1. GOD WILL GIVE YOU INSTRUCTIONS. (Exodus 14:1-2)
God gave Moses instructions concerning the path the Israelites were to take during their journey in the wilderness and where they were to camp.

God will also direct you if you will surrender your will to Him.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”
(Psalms 32:8 NKJV

• The Israelites had gotten to the edge of the wilderness and a stage or two more would have brought them to Horeb, the place appointed for their serving God; but, instead of going forward, God ordered to turn and to march towards the Red Sea.

God sometimes raises difficulties in the way of the salvation of his people, that He may have the glory

Beloved it is time to turn and follow the direction of the Lord.

Lesson 2
GOD IS IN CONTROL OF THE SITUATION. (Exodus 14:3-4 NKJV)

The Israelites weren’t on their own out in the wilderness, God was leading the Israelites every step of the way in the wilderness.

You may find yourself in a difficult situation but you are exactly in the will of God and He is in charge of the situation.

God has assured you that He is with you always even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:20b)

Whatever situation you are going through God is with you. Do not be afraid.

Lesson 3
3. OBEDIENCE IS IMPORTANT ( Exodus 14: 4b)

The Israelites obeyed and went as God directed them. Obedience will lead to deliverance.
Let us learn to obey the Lord.

Lesson 4
HOW TO REACT IN DIFFICULT SITUATIONS. (Vs 13-14)

1."Fear not ". (Do not be afraid)

2. "Stand still" (waiting on the Lord, be calm, focused, total trust and reliance on God, )

3. "See the salvation of the Lord" (you will see what God will do to save you).

4. "The Lord will fight for you" (trust Him to take care of the situation)

5. "Ye shall hold your peace" (you don’t have to anything, only keep calm and be silent).
Beloved, is your back against the wall?
Do you feel overwhelmed by your circumstances? Feel like God is not listening or doesn’t care?

God knows exactly what you are going through.

He has a plan and you are part of it!

And so are the difficulties that He has allowed to come into your life.

Don’t give up

Trust Him today.

“Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you this month, the Lord will fight for you and you shall hold your peace.
