Passage: Psalm 23 1 Peter 2:19 – 25, John 10: 1 - 10

The method of Jesus’ Shepherd is different from our time. The shepherd leads the flock but now we flow the flock instead of allowing the Shepherd to lead us. We have gotten ahead of ourselves in our Christian walk with God.  There are 10 key words that will can learn from Psalm 23 that will help us recognize the role of the Good shepherd in our lives.

The 10 P’s of Psalm 23

  1. The Good Shepherd is our Provider

  • “he makes me to lie down in green pastures”

  1. The Good Shepherd is our Peace

    • “he leads me beside the still waters”

  2. The Good Shepherd is our Pardon

    • “he restores my soul”

  3. The Good Shepherd is our Providence

    • “he guides me in the path of righteousness”

  4. The Good Shepherd is our Protection

    • “even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil”

  5. The Good Shepherd gives us Preservation

    • “your rod and your staff it comforts me”

  6. The Good Shepherd gives us Protection

    • “you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies”

  7. The Good Shepherd gives us a Plentiful Harvest

    • “you anoint my head with oil my cup overflows”

  8. The good Shepherd gives us Prosperity

    • “ surely goodness and mercy shall follow me”

  9. The Good Shepherd gives us an everlasting Paradise

    • “I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever”

Beloved let us learn to recognize the role of the Good Shepherd in our lives.
