Passage: Isaiah 43:1-7; Acts 8:14-17; Luke 3:15-17, 21-22

The Holy Spirit as a witness is key to victorious Christian living. Jesus Christ baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire. The steps to take in order to be filled with the Spirit are to receive Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour, be baptized and keep the Lords commands.

The Holy Spirit was sent to us as our helper. He strengthens, comforts, convicts, teaches and directs us. We are also able to bear the fruit of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps us to accept and understand the things of God. He  gives us gifts that demonstrate God's power. We are  able to witness to draw other people to Christ.

He helps us to pray by translating our prayers according to Gods good purposes for our lives. He also gives us knowledge and guides us into spiritual growth. The Holy Spirit  gives us wisdom to handle disputes. As seen in the book of Acts, the Early Church chose men of good reputation,  filled with the Spirit to manage the distribution of food.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit should not divide us, as they did to the believers in Corinth. We must learn to accept other people's gifts and not feel superior to them. We must use these gifts to build the church.
