Genesis 14 and Hebrews 7 speak of a King of peace, known as Melchizedek. He was also a priest of the Most High God. His name Melech means King and Zedek means righteousness. He is therefore the King of Righteousness.
When Melchizedek met Abraham, he laid before him bread and wine, in Genesis 14:18-24. This symbolizes the Holy Communion. May we always dine with the King of Righteousness by partaking in the Holy Communion. Melchizedek blessed him and declared that all his enemies will be delivered into his hands.
Today the Melchizedek blessing still exists. You are called to inherit a blessing. You are called to be fruitful and multiply. You are blessed in all the work of your hand and you will lack nothing.
