The prophesy of Isaiah about the suffering and death of Jesus was so graphic and vivid that even the attempt by Mel Gibson's dreaded passion of the Christ may not match. Isaiah also raised a rhetorical question that is worth answering today. "Who has believed our message?" Examining our lives today, it seems we have not really believe the message. When Christ said it is finished, we did not really believe it. We still call ourselves sinners, we are still interested in rituals and sacrifices today as a means of atonement. We are still interested in having priests going to the presence of God on our behalf. Let's use this occasion to reflect on the reality of the great sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Let that message inform our lives.
