Passage: 2 Samuel 9:1-7

Do you have faith that Christ is the Messiah, the Saviour, who makes a way for you when all else is lost?

Whatever you are today, thank God; but the best is yet to come. If you remain in the Lord, your tomorrow will be better than your today.

As Christians, we should live with the belief that life will get better and we should live a life that gets better as time goes on. Even though our present life may be difficult and very hard, if we have hope, we can see a brighter future.

Even though you go through hardship now, if you have hope, you can have a better attitude to deal with the present suffering. People who have hope, know how to wait. Waiting is a secret key to your life. When you learn the art of waiting, wisdom and power will be given to you.

In Isaiah 40:30, we learn that as Christians, you will rise up like an eagle and your strength will be renewed. The Christian life is a struggle to make tomorrow better hence make our future better.

When you look to God, you will have hope. Hope is not something that you can create on your own, only when you look to God, that God will give you the hope and with that hope you wait, and you will become a bigger person, and the hope will give you a new strength.

The is the need to always look to God and when we do, God will give us hope. And with that hope, wait and you will become strong. God will strengthen you.

When you are desperate, when you feel powerless, wait for the Lord rather than creating your own resources. Look to God! To all of us, God tells us to wait. And when you have this waiting heart, your tomorrow will be better than your today.

When you come to worship, wait for the Lord to touch you, to speak to you, to empower you, to open your eyes, to give you wisdom. When you truly worship God through constant fellowship and walk closely with Him, an increase is guaranteed.

The story of Mephibosheth is a testimony of overnight increase. It is a story of how you can be suffering, weeping and struggling today, but tomorrow you are smiling and dancing for joy, because the Lord visited you (Psalm 30:5)

As Christians, we have an assurance that our tomorrow will certainly be brighter and better than your today. Enlargement comes when God's grace speaks for you. Mephibosheth went to bed as a poor man and woke up the next day, as a very wealthy man. This is the Grace of God.

What is grace?
Grace is simply a gift from God. It is something you get from God which you did not work for or you do not even deserve. Eph.2:8-9 and Rom.11:6, tells us that the moment you can point to something you did to get a particular blessing, promotion or increase, then grace has been completely removed from the picture.

Grace can give you what you did not pray for and more than what you even prayed for. Mephibosheth's turn around, his increase and enlargement was a pure gift of Grace. The grace of God gave Mephibosheth more than he could ever ask or imagine. Grace gives you what you do not work for. Today, God's grace will hand over to you a gift and blessings you did not work for.

God’s grace will give you the kind of breakthrough you cannot even think or work for.

There are no struggles when grace is involved. What is given to you by grace, you do not struggle to get.

It is good to be hardworking, l am not advocating laziness here. When God's grace comes in, struggling and hustling give way.

May you be blessed with everlasting blessings even as you enter the New Year.

Amen.
