This year’s Youth X’plo, an evangelism programme by the youth targeted at winning souls for Christ was on Sunday, June 24, 2018 officially launched at the Hope Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Sakumono-Estates, Tema.
The event, which took place at the church’s main auditorium saw the unveiling of programmes scheduled to reached out to the unsaved.
Rev. Emmanuel Obeng Ntow, Resident Minister of the church said that it is imperative for every believer to win a soul for Christ and urges every member of the congregation to embrace the programme.
‘We have the message and we are the messengers. Let us go out there and give the message to the people.” he said.
The launch was characterised with song ministrations by the Royals of Hope, Church Choir, and Singing Band. There was also a short skit and Spoken Word performance with emphasis on evangelism.
Mr David Ekow Nyann, Chairman of the 2018 Youth X’plo Central Planning Committee highlighted some of the activities lined up for the event.
It included a week of prayer and fasting from June 25-28, 2018, and an All night service on June 29.
In July, the events will take off with an Evangelism and Medical Outreach at the Texpo Market, Baastonaa on July 7. Career summit, X’plofesto, a musical concert, Blood donation and a novel idea, a two-day vacation bible school with the mandate of training tomorrow Church leaders today, targeted at Senior High School Students.
He said there will also be a Hope Theatre, a drama programme focused on evangelism and will be crowned with a thanksgiving service on August 5, 2018.
As part of contribution towards the event, various groups in the church sponsored the presentation of 300 event t-shirts to children in the church. The Women’s Fellowship sponsored 50 pieces of T’shirts while some individuals in the Young Couples Ministry took care of the rest to support the evangelism outreach programme.
