DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’” And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
THEME: BE PERSISTENT
WORDS OF HOPE:
Life is war and Christ could not but liken the Christian to the poor widow who is weak and frail because she battles with ageless unseen forces and spiritual wickedness in high places who she cannot see. The Christian, however presented in the parable as a wicked judge, has a loving Judge and Father who looks forward to his children to just come to him for vengeance. Come to him for deliverance, wisdom, revelation and direction concerning every detail of their lives. May it be your habit henceforth as was that of the widow to be a student of the bible, a disciple of Jesus and an ardent friend of the Holy Spirit having fellowship with Him every moment of your life in the day. Consistency of prayer, intercession, fellowship and worship will guarantee your victory and make you a sign and wonder to the world effortlessly.
All God’s people are and must be praying people. Here, earnest steadiness in prayer for spiritual mercies is taught. The widow’s earnestness prevailed even with the unjust judge: she might fear lest it should set him more against her; but our earnest prayer is pleasing to our God. Even to the end there will still be ground for the same complaint of weakness of faith and therefore get over it and be persistent in prayer, intercession and worship.
· Lord, I thank you for the word for the day
· Lord, envelop me to see what you see so I will be persistent in prayer concerning my life issues (mention them)
· Lord, grant me a hear of worship while I persistently wait on you in prayer
My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus. Receive it now. Amen🙏🏽
