7 WORDS OF JESUS ON THE CROSS
When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple standing by, whom He loved, He saith unto His mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith He to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home. John 19:26, 27
THEME: BE RESPONSIBLE
WORDS OF HOPE:
On the cross, at the restraint of crucifixion, Jesus seizes the opportunity to demonstrate responsibility. He points and virtually hands over the physical care taking of His mother, Mary, to John, the Apostle. He in turn introduces John to Mary as her son to fill the vacuum His earthly absence was going to create for Mary.
Many shirk their responsibilities when they’re restrained by one challenge or the other but Jesus shows us the perfect example of being up to the task no matter what. Where do you stand today, what responsibility or duty are you overlooking? Like Jesus take responsibility, overlook your challenge. Don’t throw your hands up in despair because of the financial challenge, own up and speak up; act responsibly because destinies hang in the balance when you shirk your responsibility.
• Ask for forgiveness for any hurt you may have caused by your irresponsibilities.
• Pray for the grace to overlook your challenges and act responsibly.
Father, I receive grace to own up to my responsibilities in life, no matter the challenge. I refuse to be afraid in Jesus’ name. Amen 🙏🏽
