DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
THEME: WE ARE WRITTEN LETTERS
TODAY’S VERSE: (Read II Corinthians 3:1-6)
You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
2 Corinthians 3:2-3
WORDS OF HOPE:
Before the upsurge of the computer age, and for that matter the information superhighway via internet, postal service was the mainstay of many people on planet earth as far as letter writing was concerned. In II Corinthians 3, we are made aware of the fact that as children of God, we are written letters for others to read. Our lives must show something distinctively different to the world. This means we must be the standard for the world to emulate and not the other way. Our behaviour and actions through the way we talk, dress, eat, speak, etc. must show that we are children of God. It was only by the lifestyle of the people at Antioch that made others refer to them as Christians. They depicted Christ in every way. Our way of life will either make or unmake another person. We are the light of the world and must shine everywhere for even the blind to see. We must live to please the Lord by living righteously so others may see and serve the Lord. One atheistic German philosopher, Frederick Nietzsche issued a challenge thus: “show me that you are redeemed and then I will believe in your redeemer.” He surely did have a point there even as an atheist. Christ is waiting for us as His followers to affect the world with our positive lifestyle and eventually draw men unto Him.
• Seek the Holy Spirit to help you depict the Christ standard.
• Ask for wisdom in your daily dealings in other to live positively.
• Inquire of the Lord to show you His plans for your life.
Dear Lord Jesus thank you for my life this day. I humbly request for you to help me find my purpose in this life and to live the Christ-like life to affect others in Jesus name. Amen! 🙏🏽
