DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION – SAK. EST.
And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach. And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils: Mark 3:14-15 KJV
THEME: OUR PRIMARY CALL
WORDS OF HOPE:
God calls all men firstly to be with Him. It is the call to salvation, to fellowship and discipleship (i.e. being with him), and that is the first and most important call. It is the call that gives a basis for the second call, the call to service (i.e. that he might send them forth to preach…). It is vital to note the words that are used in this translation of the Bible; he ordained twelve that they SHOULD be with him and that he MIGHT send them out. We have no business claiming we have been sent if we haven’t been with him. The lives of, at least, two apostles (Peter and John) give testimony to this; when the two were arrested and interrogated by the Sanhedrin, members of the Sanhedrin took notice that they ‘had been with Jesus’ (Acts 4:13).
Brethren, let us seek first of all to be with Jesus
● Pray that you will long after the Lord as the deer pants after the waters.
● Pray that you will have a very intimate fellowship with Jesus so that you’ll begin to think like him, act like him and look like him in every way.
● Pray that as a servant of God you’ll value fellowshipping and learning from Jesus more than preaching to people.
Lord, may we long to be with you and fellowship with You all the days of our lives. 🙏🏽
