DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION – SAK. EST.
When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions. Mark 12:34 (NIV)
THEME: LET’S LOVE SOMEONE AND REACH OUT
WORDS OF HOPE:
Dr. M. Scott Peck defines love as the will to extend one’s self for the purpose of nurturing one’s own spiritual growth. That is at least one aspect of Christian love. Jesus reached beyond friends and social barriers to nurture the leper, the foreigner, the woman, the children, the tax collector, the thief, and the people with physical disabilities. Even now he reaches through the barrier of time to enfold us in his saving love. We extend ourselves by reaching beyond our inner circle of friends, beyond our own comfort, to find ourselves nearer the kingdom of God.
● Pray for the grace to reach out to others in love.
● Ask the Lord to empower you to grow in love beyond all barriers
● Pray for the enablement to love not because of what you will get back.
Father help us to grow in our ability to reach out in love to others. Amen 🙏🏽
