TODAY’S VERSE:
Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. James 5:17-18
THEME: PRAYER YIELD RESULTS
WORDS OF HOPE:
James stress that Elijah being human went to God in prayer backed by faith and as a result he was able to lock the heavens for three and a half years and open it afterwards with prayer. James wants us to know that if God listened to Elijah, another human being like us, there is no reason why God will not listen to us! Prayer is the ‘wattsup’ platform by which we reach God. Many people read all their online messages in the morning before they pray! Rather, I encourage to reverse situation, talk to God first thing in the morning, read your Bible and pray! That should be your habit, do not wait until you find yourself in a terrible situation before you pray, pray to prevent those situations. God has not changed, He is still in the business of listening to man as He did for Elijah. To attempt and fail is better than no attempt and fail. May you not bear needless pain but rather hand it over to God in prayer and He will change the situation in the name of Jesus. Amen 🙏🏽
