DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee. Psalm 32:8-9
THEME: DIVINE DIRECTION
WORDS OF HOPE:
In our part of the world, asking strangers for directions to places is very common. This is due, in part, to the lack of a proper address system. And while asking strangers for directions often proves helpful, it is not without challenges; misdirection by such ‘strangers-turned-guides’ being one of them. Thus, these days some people resort to the use of GPS devices. While being a victim of misdirection can be very frustrating, lacking divine direction is disastrous!
In today’s text God promises to instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. He promises to guide you with His eye. So, you are not without help as you set out into this year. You can be sure of His guidance; and luckily, He is more accurate than the best GPS device you can find. So, don’t set out without Him. Find out what He wants you to do in prayer. Find out where He wants you to go. Does He want you to take that job? Does He want you to enter into that relationship? What is His will about that journey? Etc. And He’ll speak; He’ll show you what to do. And He adds, as He directs you, don’t be stubborn, don’t be stiff-necked, don’t be bent on going your own way. Be malleable. Blessings!
· Pray that God will direct you in all you do this year.
· Pray that you will realize His direction and follow it.
Lord I ask for divine direction in all I do this year. When you lead me, Lord, help me realize it is You and help me follow Your leading. In Jesus’ name I pray! Amen 🙏🏽
