DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST

TODAY’S VERSE:
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Ephesians 6:10-18

THEME: KNOW THE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

WORDS OF HOPE:
I watched a movie titled: “Sometimes in April”, with production based on the Rwandan Civil War. In the movie, heavily armed Hutu militias stormed an all-female school compound with the plan to massacre only Tutsi girls, but ended up killing both Hutus and Tutsis because the Hutus decided to stand in arms with their colleagues, whether in death or living. The rules of engagement by the Militias changed when they finally arrived at the compound.
As Christians, we are in a battle and that battle is not in flesh and blood but highly spiritual. A spiritual battle must be fought and won spiritually by prayer and the word. The Apostle Paul makes it clear in II Corinthians 10:4 that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but they are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. The battle continues unabated between the children of God and the devil, but victory is always assured for God`s children as long as we become aware of our mighty weapons and understand the rules of engagement.

PRAYER POINTS:
· Pray for insight into the rules of engagement.
· Pray and seek God`s directions through His word.
· Pray and ask God to always lead you in battle.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you for my life in a new year. Thank you for great insight into the rules of engagement. Help me to study your word consistently to open my eyes in the daily battles I have to face. Grant me wisdom, grace and favour in all I do.
Amen! 🙏🏽
