WORDS OF HOPE:
The role of counselling in the life of men cannot be underestimated as it prepares people for diverse life roles and responsibilities. Churches have established counselling committees to help people with all manner of issues related to spirituality, drugs, education, relationships, finances and significant of them is premarital counselling. Also, educational institutions have Career Guidance and Counselling Units established to help students with challenges in their lives.
These by the institutions are good as given by experts (counsellors) but there is a counsellor of counsellors, who knows beyond the realm of the physical, knows beyond today, understands mysteries and knows tomorrow. Jesus described the Holy Spirit as our Helper translated Counsellor (John 14:16). We have many plans and ideas and the
counsel from men will utilize all manner of formula-based experiences and learning.
However, the counsel of the Holy Spirit surpasses all, it has stood the test of time and never known to have failed. He does not speak of His own accord but in the counsel of the Almighty God as He declares the mind of God (John 16:13). He just does not talk to us and leaves us to our fate but helps us to go through life successfully. Beloved, what is the plan or idea or the challenges that need help? Invite the Holy Spirit, talk to Him and He will direct your path on what to do.
PRAYER TOPICS:
• Thank God for the works of the Holy Spirit in you.
• Reflect on the plans or challenges of life and ask God to direct your path.
• Ask for grace to follow the Spirit’s counsel so as to stand.
PRAYER:
Lord, thank you for your daily counsel and guidance through your Spirit in me. I thank you that all the counsels will help my life to flourish in Jesus name Amen!
