WORDS OF HOPE:
At His ascension, Jesus commissioned the Church to go and witness to the world the Gospel. They were to declare what they had seen, heard and experienced concerning the Lord Jesus Christ, who lived among them, died, rose again and ascended into heaven and seated on the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
Like the incarnation of Jesus Christ into the world and His ministry to the world through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, God commissioned the believers into the world by empowering them with the Holy Spirit. God does not just call us to go (preach the Gospel), He puts His Words into our hearts and mouth and strengthens us with all boldness through the enablement of the Holy Spirit to preach. The Gospel is not the eloquence of speech but the demonstration of the Holy Spirit and power through the spoken word which transforms the unbelievers as it breaks their hardened heart. God is commissioning us all (as believers) to declare to the world the Gospel (Good news) and has given us His Spirit to help us in this task. All we need to do is to yield our members to Him to manifest His power and works in us and through us to the world.
Yield to the Holy Spirit as you cannot preach the gospel by your strength, without Him, you can do nothing.
PRAYER TOPICS:
• Pray for the Holy Spirit to empower you in the preaching of the Gospel
• Pray for the yielding of the Church to the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
• Pray that God will empower His Church to preach the gospel in boldness and power.
PRAYER:
Father in Heaven, may the power of your Spirit continue to strengthen and move me to preach the gospel as I have been commanded by you in Jesus name Amen!
