DAILY WORDS OF HOPE
BY PCG, HOPE CONGREGATION–SAK. EST
TODAY’S VERSE: AMOS 4:1-13
THEME: PREPARE TO MEET THE LORD
WORDS OF HOPE:
Imagine you have been nominated for a high-ranking office that you are so pleased with, but have been requested to go through a vetting process before your appointment. What will you do?
Our most important meetings are those with the Lord at our individual levels (personal devotions) or corporate levels (family devotions & church services). It has been said that it is in encounters that makes destinies count. It is in meeting God that the needs of our lives are met.
Yet most of us do not value such meetings. We tend to value meetings with “important men” in society than meeting with the Almighty God in our closet. Most of us attend church services without any proper preparations and even arrive late. Others have even totally neglected either personal or corporate fellowship. It appears as if our meetings with friends at school or clients are more important than our meetings with the Lord. Our meetings with the Lord affect eternal destinies. Do you really value your meeting with the Lord? What preparations do you need to make in order to make such meetings fruitful?
• Pray for the grace to discipline yourself to value meetings with the LORD.
• Pray for the grace to always prepare yourself well before meeting with the LORD.
May our hearts always be filled with the need to be prepared to meet you O Lord. Amen
